Back to My Studio
Next I will be taking you back to my studio where I will adhere the sculpture to the violin, add collage materials to some areas, and paint the violin.
Back at the Foundry
Next Micheal will be de molding the relief sculpture of Beethoven, cleaning up the mold and pouring a cold cast bronze. This process was done in one trip to the foundry, see the steps below.

To the Foundry Again
For my next post I will go back to the foundry. Micheal will have added the "Mother Mold", a plaster layer to support the silicone mold. Micheal uses FGR-95 a gypsum based product that is already impregnated into layers of fabric that just needs to be put in water then applied.

Violin Relief Sculpture for Music from Angel Fire
Music from Angel Fire is a summer music festival in Angel Fire, NM. They are celebrating their 25th Anniversary. As a fund raiser, they asked 25 artists to paint or decorate a violin for an auction. The following is the process of creating my violin. I will take you through the steps in various stages in the upcoming posts to my blog.
